Can The Mixer be used for more than one application?

We sell The Mixer as a one application product.

However, this really depends on how much coverage you’re looking for, and ensuring that you re cap the applicator after use so it doesn’t dry out.

You can recap it and use the balance.

If you extrude the solution in the mixer head that has oxidized and allow the new mixture to move through before the next application.

Can I use The Mixer on highlighted hair?

The answer really is... it's entirely up to you.

The Mixer is a permanent root touch up product that will cover your new growth and extend your time between visits to the salon.

It is meant to cover that ¼ - ½ inch new growth especially around the face in the zipper (your automatic part) and at the crown.

If those areas are a concern to you, especially if the new growth is grey, use The Mixer in your base colour to cover those visible roots. (I comb bits of the colour through my hair about 10 minutes before I’m going to wash it out, to softly add to my highlights)

When you are more adept at using the applicator (after a few try’s) after you’ve applied your base colour to your roots, you might add one of your lighter highlight shades by taking the wide comb side of your CR brush and pull a light amount (thin line)of the lighter colour across the comb and through your hair.

Is it necessary to cut the tip to extrude the solution?

No need to cut the tip.

Just take the brown tip off and apply pressure like you would to any syringe.
*Sometimes a little extra pressure is needed to break the internal seal

Point the mixer head down to a paper towel or small dish push the plunger until about the length of the mixer head of the mixed product is extruded.
This is to ensure that the two solutions are mixing and can be discarded.

Then you're ready to go!

How is The Mixer different from other Root Touch Up products?

Can I use The Mixer with my brand of Hair Colour?

The hair colour and developer in The Mixer are salon quality and are left to be compatible with any good quality brand of hair colour.

How do I decide on my colour?

We usually suggest a shade closer to the washed down colour that happen after three weeks of shampooing coloured hair

The Mixer is not recommended for overall colour, but as a permanent root touch up product that will cover your new growth and extend your time between visits to the salon.

How long does the colour last?

The Mixer provides permanent colour and will last until the root re-growth occurs again, which depends on how quickly your hair grows.

Can The Mixer be used on African American hair that is permed?

As you know this is a root touch up product, therefore I would assume that you are already colouring your hair and there should be no problem.

However, if you are not colouring your hair I would suggest that you do not add more treatments at this time
